Blackmagic Design URSA 4K Digital Cinema Camera
The URSA 4K v1 Digital Cinema Camera with EF Mount from Blackmagic Design features a form factor that is designed to make it flexible enough to use on productions of all sizes. From a single operator all the way up to a full camera crew. At the heart of the imaging system, URSA 4K features a 3840 x 2160p resolution, global shutter CMOS sensor with 12 stops of dynamic range. The camera records and outputs in the 2160p format, a 16:9 standard with precisely four times the resolution of 1080p, often referred to as UltraHD.
Blackmagic Production 4K Cinema Camera
The Blackmagic Design Production Camera 4K features a Super 35mm sized image sensor with a global shutter and a Canon EF lens mount. The camera is capable of recording Ultra HD 4K (3840×2160) and 1080p video using the 10-bit Apple ProRes 422 family of codecs, as well as the visually lossless, compressed 12-bit CinemaDNG RAW at 4000×2160 resolution. The built-in recorder utilizes removable 2.5″ SSDs, which enable the high data rates required by RAW and 880Mbps ProRes HQ. The camera’s ability to expose for 12 stops of dynamic range lends the image a truly film-like look, and the Super 35mm (21.12 x 11.88mm) sized sensor approximates the standard of traditional film.
Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5K
The BlackMagic Design Cinema Camera is a true digital video camera shrunken down to go where no other cinema camera has gone. The BlackMagic Cinema Camera’s machined metal construction provides a sturdy and rigid workhorse. Unlike DSLRs that rely on “HDR” processing to force dynamic range, the sensor was designed for a full 13-stop dynamic range designed specifically to capture moving images and subjects. This camera offers an unbeatable performance and creative depth of field control that produces motion-picture quality results. Packed with 3G-SDI or 6G-SDI on the 4K model for monitoring, 1/4″ mic/line audio inputs and a Thunderbolt connection for live streaming. When you want external camera and lens control a LANC port is included. Unlike other digital video cinema cameras, the BlackMagic Design Cinema Camera uses off-the-shelf, super fast solid-state drives which already provide some of the best dollar/GB value.
